Returns & Refund Policy

Last updated: March 11, 2026. Your satisfaction is our priority. If you are not completely happy with your Starlight Fairy Shop purchase, we are here to help. Please read our Returns & Refund Policy below.

1. Return Policy Overview

We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible for a return, items must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and in their original packaging with all tags attached.

Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 3–5 business days of us receiving and inspecting your return.

2. Eligible Items

To qualify for a return, items must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Returned within 30 days of the delivery date shown in tracking.
  • Unworn and unwashed — no signs of use, odor, stains, or pet hair.
  • All original tags still attached and intact.
  • In original packaging (garment bag, tissue paper, box if applicable).
  • Not marked as “Final Sale” at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to refuse a return if the item does not meet these conditions. If a return is refused, the item will be sent back to you at your expense.

3. How to Start a Return

Follow these simple steps to initiate a return:

  1. Log into your account at starlightfairyshop.com and go to “My Orders”.
  2. Select the order containing the item(s) you wish to return and click “Request Return”.
  3. Select the item(s) and choose your reason for returning. If the item is defective or incorrect, please upload a photo.
  4. Choose your preference: refund to original payment method or store credit (store credit is processed faster).
  5. Pack the item(s) securely in their original packaging and drop off the parcel at your nearest carrier location (or schedule a pickup if a prepaid label was provided).

If you do not have an account, please contact us at support@starlightfairyshop.com with your order number to initiate a return.

4. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for a different size or color of the same item, subject to availability. To request an exchange:

  • Follow the same process as a return (see Section 3) and select “Exchange” as your preference.
  • Specify the size/color you would like in the exchange request.
  • We will check availability and confirm your exchange request within 1–2 business days.

If your requested exchange item is out of stock, we will process a full refund instead. Exchange orders are shipped once we receive your returned item and it passes inspection.

We recommend placing a new order for the item you want immediately to avoid it selling out, then returning the original item for a refund.

5. Refund Process

Once we receive your returned item, our team will inspect it within 1–2 business days. You will receive an email confirmation when your return is approved.

Refunds are then processed as follows:

  • Credit/Debit card: 3–5 business days to process, plus an additional 5–10 business days for the funds to appear on your statement depending on your bank.
  • PayPal: typically within 24 hours of approval.
  • Store credit: issued immediately upon return approval and valid for 12 months.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong or defective item). If you received free shipping on your original order and your return brings the order total below the free shipping threshold, the standard shipping fee may be deducted from your refund.

6. Defective or Wrong Items

We sincerely apologize if you received a defective, damaged, or incorrect item. Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@starlightfairyshop.com with:

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Clear photos of the defect, damage, or wrong item (including the packaging label).

We will arrange a free return collection using a prepaid shipping label and either send you the correct item or issue a full refund including original shipping — whichever you prefer. We do not require defective or incorrect items to be returned in their original packaging.

7. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Items marked as “Final Sale” at the time of purchase.
  • Swimwear and underwear for hygiene reasons.
  • Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery.
  • Items with removed or damaged tags.
  • Gift cards and store credit.
  • Items returned after the 30-day return window.

Final Sale items are clearly marked on the product page and during checkout. Please review your order carefully before completing your purchase.

8. Return FAQ

Can I return a gift?

Yes. Gift recipients can return items for store credit within 30 days. Please contact us with the order number (found on the packing slip) and we will issue store credit to you.

What if I return an item without notifying you first?

Please always initiate a return through your account or by contacting us before sending anything back. Unrequested returns may be refused and returned to sender.

Can I return items from multiple orders in one package?

Yes, but please include a note inside clearly listing the order numbers and items included. Each item must still meet the return eligibility conditions.

How long does it take to receive my refund?

After we receive and approve your return (1–2 business days), refunds take 3–5 business days to process. Allow an additional 5–10 business days for the funds to appear on your bank statement.
